On 14th of May 2013, the Atlas hall of the Radisson Blu Hotel - Bucharest opens its doors to host the International Conference on Sustainable Constructions and Energy Efficiency EURO-Construcţii, the event being at the second edition. Likewise to the session which took place on the 15th of May 2012, the symposia will be presented in parallel with those of the International Conference on Joinery Systems and Façades EURO-Fereastra (fifth edition). The uncertainty created by the prolonged recession, the political and social tensions (which had a negative impact on the national economy), the numerous situations in which firms from the industry entered into insolvency or bankruptcy and the difficult situation of the entire European Union have increased the "fear of change" especially amid the rapid implementation of several more stringent requirements and regulations specific to the EU market, which could lead to an eventual stabilization. Therefore, the most important questions find their pertinent answers to EURO-Construcţii 2013, which will allow the setting of optimal business strategies that take into account the current and future challenges. The schedule of both events was conceived so as to meet the communication requirements of experts from the construction domain and related sectors. Once again the focus will be placed on initiatives from the area of sustainable buildings execution and lasting development in the construction branch. As it is known, during the recession many questions referring to the market evolution remained unanswered, whilst significant categories of specialists, representing construction, plumbing, joinery, design, architecture companies, related service providers, developers, investors, etc. tried to identify relevant solutions to the current problems related to the structure and reorientation of the businesses. Obviously, there is no longer a secret that the main direction which will be followed in the near future comprises the accessing of the new field of sustainable constructions that could soon become one of the few specific sectors characterized by a significant pace of development.
