This autumn was rich in events like trade fairs and conferences, which were related, directly or indirectly to the activity of the international sector of thermal insulating joinery. The novelty was that the scale of events was higher, and the number of attendees increased significantly. It seems that recession affected in a positive way the development of the companies, forcing them to become more flexible, and oriented by customer demand. Irrespective the degree of specialization (general construction trade fairs or oriented ones), the content and organization (exhibitions or conferences), all of the events were subordinated to the idea of innovations, the accent being placed on improving the image of companies, and the place on the specific market. The increased number of visitors shows very clearly the reaction of the market to the implemented measures. It will be seen in the future if the new technologies will be used or not. On a simple analysis it seems that such a process is mandatory and irreversible, but a lot of things depend on funding and the way in which the banks will perceive the whole concept of sustainability. A factor which could accelerate the process is to directly finance the production activity, in order to assure the main resource for consumption, and, in the same time, to supply the necessary systems for the market. This is a very complex concept, in which the ideas of production and consumption are combined, emphasizing the interconnections between the two notions, which helps to develop itself in a proper manner. We must disagree with the idea that sustainability is no more than an extended and hidden marketing strategy, and that accepting it represents the only way to progress in the future period. Next, are presented the most important events which took place recently, at European level. In brief, will be particularized information about Rosenheimer Fenstertage Conference in Rosenheim, the trade fairs Glasstec 2012 - Düsseldorf and Made Expo 2012 - Milano, the final part of analysis being reserved for an introduction to the best trade fair of the international constructions field - Bau 2013, which will take place in January, 2013.
