Siemens Romania, one of the leading technology companies and present on the Romanian market for over a century, achieved a turnover of 393 million EUR in 2013, in all four divisions, collectively named Energy, Health, Industry and Infrastructure / Cities. The department of Building Technologies, part of the Infrastructure and Cities Sector, recorded revenues of 5.6 million EUR last year, an amount resulting from the sale of products, projects and facility management activities. For 2014, the new business strategy and positioning on the national market of the Building Technologies division is to provide the optimal solutions solely through partners, while the sale and distribution will be made through the Control Products and Systems department. The implementing of the new business strategies generated an increase of approximately 26% in sales in the first three months of 2014, compared to the average level of the same period in previous years. The reference projects implemented by Siemens Building Technologies are numerous and involve both deliveries of systems and products in the segment of fire protection and security, as well as in the automation, installations and equipment domain that may increase the comfort of beneficiaries by addressing several areas of activity: factories and industrial areas, networks of hotels, public institutions, business complexes etc. "One of the most recent projects completed with the help of Siemens - Probitas partner is the International Hotel Iaşi, a building fully automated by our company. In this case, the building management system (BMS) integrates the automation of installations such as HVAC, Sinteso fire, burglary SPC, the ones of the control rooms of the hotel - HARS and strong currents installations (electrical panels, roof, power analyzers etc.). Broadly, these solutions manage everything, from the temperature in hotel rooms and the lights in the common areas to the access inside the building and fire prevention, the operator being constantly informed about the state of the building", said George Zapan, Head of Building Technologies Division of Siemens Romania.
