TOP: Consolidation of the main brands of systems used for manufacturing windows

In the current edition of the research dedicated to activities and prospects of the top 500 producers, we have also included an analysis and included several relevant diagrams reflecting the trademarks of the main systems used by manufacturers of windows and highlighted as well by the region. As in the previous studies, the data do not represent a ranking of assemblies or hardware quantities sold or the market share, but refer only to the frequency of nomination of these systems by the manufacturers (based on valid statements obtained from the responding companies). However, the national and regional impact of the brands is especially useful for system vendors, the categories of information referring to the share of the materials’ usability allowing an analysis in what concerns the degree of acknowledgement of the products in different geographic locations. Thus, the study of impact and brand awareness constitutes a useful and objective tool for all operators on the market of windows that can partner with diverse suppliers, although at this level, the collaboration takes place after the analysis of several criteria which have often a subjective nature. Overall, as a first conclusion, a slight drop in the number of claims can be noticed, which would mean a return to normality after the diversification observed at the peak of the recession. The methodology used for the analysis of the specific reputation of systems is similar to the one used for the top manufacturers which have been classified into five geographical areas. In the case of PVC profiles there were mentioned 42 brands, unlike the previous study, when the manufacturers have indicated 48 brands as well as the initial results (during the reference period, since it refers to the maximum height of the supplies), when there have been nominated 31 brands. In turn, aluminium joinery manufacturers said that they employ 38 different brands, in comparison to 40 marks in the previous study and 20 in the reference period.
