PRODUCERS: The companies strengthen their market position

Although the resumption under sustainable conditions of an increase trend on the thermal insulating joinery market continues to be delayed, given that this economic segment, as well as the construction one, are in recession, many managers of companies in the industry resort to initiatives aimed at strengthening their market position in order to prepare for the event of a demand revival. Unfortunately, the latest market research conducted for the Eastern Europe - CEE (which include also the Romanian window market) are marked by caution and provide a continuous decline in orders and obviously in the production of assemblies in the range between 2013 -2017. According to the latest research of Interconnection Consulting Group - Austria, while during the previous 12 months, the CEE joinery market was valued at 45.9 million window units, corresponding to sales of 6.86 billion EUR, for 2017 are expected 40.3 million window units and sales of 5.32 billion EUR. On a smaller scale, which contains only Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria, the estimates of the Austrian office are somewhat optimistic, because, if in 2013 the level of window units will stand at 3.08 million and the sales at 431.6 million EUR, after a slight quantitative stability and decreasing value for this year (3.09 million units and 429 million EUR), in 2017 there will be reached levels of about 3.59 million units and 521.9 million EUR. Thus, quantitatively, the growth rate CAGR (compounded annual growth rate) will be placed at 3.9% during 2013-2017, and the index value will reach 4.9%. However, in comparison with the Eastern European window market (valued at 40.3 million units in 2017), the area uniting Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria will represents solely 8.9% of that milestone, the "lion-share" returning to the much wider areas of the analyzed region - namely the Russian Federation and Ukraine (67.7% share). However, regardless of the predictions made by analysts, the real growth of thermal insulating joinery deliveries depends on several macroeconomic factors as well as specific ones (including geopolitical) that do not depend on the actions of managers in the industry. These factors could derail the estimates.
