ATLAS COPCO targets over 30 million euro sales, in Romania |

Atlas Copco Romania, the division of the Swedish group Atlas Copco, reported a 10% increase in turnover in 2015, to 22 million euro. Moreover, the main objective set by the Romanian subsidiary managers show an increase in turnover in the nex to years, to over 30 million euro. In 2015, the company celebrated a decade of activity in Romania. Atlas Copco is a global leader in solutions for sustainable productivity and develops products and services focused on productivity, energy efficiency, safety and ergonomics. The group provides compressors, including ensuring vacuum solutions and air treatment systems, construction and mining equipment, pneumatic tools, and assembly systems. Founded in 1873 in Stockholm, the corporation Atlas Copco is active in 180 countries, has over 44,000 employees and annual turnover of over 10 billion euros.
"Beyond the results, ten years in Romania means building a solid business and a continuously contribution to support the local industry. During this time, we tried to educate a market oriented towards price and to offer solutions that could reduce the total cost of operation, that offer high safety standards and, in the same time, protect the environment. Thus, we managed to become important suppliers in the main economic sectors in Romania, that have the biggest contributions to the local GDP", said Tivadar Szondi, Regional General Manager of Atlas Copco Romania.
Thus, systems provided by Atlas Copco equip the production lines of the two automobile factories and all tire production lines in Romania, and are also installed in the modernization processes, including hydroelectric power plants in Romania. One of the largest projects implemented locally, worth several million euro, was to modernize through a turnkey project of two natural gas compressor stations for a local operator. The result is an energy saving of 220 kW/h, equivalent to the consumption of 720 households.
